Kevin Tancharoen Leaves the Mortal Kombat Movie Reboot
by Gambid on Nov 17, 2013 :: 9Kevin Tancharoen, the director of the Mortal Kombat: Legacy series and the Mortal Kombat Movie Reboot has announced on Twitter that he is leaving the Mortal Kombat franchise after working on it for the past 3 years:
After 3 years of Kombat,I've decided to move on to other creative opportunities. I wish everyone involved in the movie big success. Thanks!

Kevin Tancharoen rose to popularity among the Mortal Kombat fans, after accidentally releasing his Mortal Kombat short Mortal Kombat Rebirth on YouTube. The clip quickly gathered millions of views and eventually led to a job at Warner Bros, where he directed the first and the second season of Mortal Kombat: Legacy and was working on a movie reboot:
The details which led to him leaving the project are currently unknown. How this will affect the production of the new movie and the possible third season of the series is also not clear.
