Mortal Kombat 9 (2011) has won yet another Best Fighting Game of 2011 award in GameTrailers' Game Of The Year Awards 2011:


Congratulations to the development team over at Netherrealm Studios for this achievement.

Google released a lot of statistical data for its search engine. Among all this data is a list of the top 10 searched games of 2011 and Mortal Kombat takes the fifth place. Here is the complete list:

- Black Ops
- Call of Duty
- Halo Reach
- Super Mario
- Mortal Kombat
- Skyrim
- Battlefield 3
- Dragon Age 2
- Diablo 3
- Mass Effect 3

Interesting to note is that Mortal Kombat is the only fighting game present in this list. Congratulations.
