by Gambid on Feb 26, 2004 :: 2

Mortal Kombat Secrets was one of the first to inform you that there will probably be no version of Mortal Kombat: Deception on Nintendo GameCube. We posted this news four months ago. According to the latest information the situation has not been changed. The only sure thing for now is that if MKVI comes out on GameCube it will not include online play. A GameCube version is still possible to be released, but this decision awaits to be taken. Keep checking for future information about the GameCube version of the game.

Fourth Quarter 2003 Ending Results by Midway

by Gambid on Feb 26, 2004 :: 2

In a press release Midway announsed that Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance is still one of their top selling games alongside SpyHunter 2 and Midway Arcade Treasures. Here is what the company expects during this year:

The Company expects to release seven major titles in 2004 including: The Suffering, NBA Ballers, MLB SlugFest: Loaded, Psi Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy, Narc, Area 51, and Mortal Kombat VI. In addition to these major title releases, the Company expects to ship several other products in 2004 including value-priced games and PC games. "Our 2004 lineup is indicative of our new strategy of focusing on content for more mature gamers, over-the-top sports games and games that financially leverage existing Midway franchises and brands. We are eagerly awaiting the launch of our next two major products, The Suffering and NBA Ballers, as we believe these titles are the first to reflect Midway's new approach to developing and marketing games," commented Mr. Zucker.

As you can see by your own, there is a chance to see the next Mortal Kombat game for PC too.

Three months ago Mortal Kombat Secrets was one of the first to post a news about this possible project. The news was based on an article published at GamerFreed. You can find the news here.

Here is the complete text of the petition:

Mortal Kombat fans have long awaited a compilation game that would include their favorite 2d Mortal Kombat games. Mortal Kombat Trilogy was to be the gem of the 2d games. Because of competing consoles and many other reasons the game was very unfinished. This petition is asking the Mortal Kombat Developers to remake Mortal Kombat Trilogy with many added features or at least a greatest hits game for current consoles systems.
