Are Steve Blum and Richard Epcar Teasing KP2 For MK11?
by Roy Arkon on Mar 13, 2020 :: 2 Comments

Steve Blum & Richard Epcar both had very important roles in the voice acting department for NetherRealm Studios games, and they might have just threw us teases for Kombat Pack 2 for Mortal Kombat 11.

First, Blum has posted this image on his Instagram page, showing a picture of the Warner Bros. water tower, indicating that he is working on something with WB or that is related to them, which can indicate something that is related to NRS, such as MK11.

Then Epcar also posted a picture of the WB water tower on his instagram page, following with another image of himself in a studio, while also tagging NRS and stating that "if we knew what he was recording, we would've squeal like a pig", indicating even further that this might have something to do with MK11.

As you might know, Blum was the voice for several characters in NRS games. He was the voice of Reptile, Sub-Zero and Bo' Rai Cho in Mortal Kombat XL, as well as the voice for Sub-Zero and Green Lantern in Injustice 2, and most recently the voice for Sub-Zero and Baraka in MK11. If Blum does come back for KP2, it's extremely likely that he will reprise his role as Reptile like he did in MKXL.

Epcar had portrayed the roles of both Raiden and the Joker since Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe throughout both the Mortal Kombat and Injustice franchises. It's unclear what character he might voice next for MK11 though.

Stay tune for more news regarding MK11 and KP2.

by Roy Arkon on Nov 19, 2019 :: 13 Comments

The Game Awards Show is coming very soon, and since Mortal Kombat 11 has been released this year of 2019, it has been nominated for the category of the best fighting game of the year. The other nominees are Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (which was released very late last year, thus not making it to last year's nominees) Samurai Shodown, Dead or Alive 6 and Jump Force.

Back in 2015 and 2017, NetherRealm Studios have took the award for those years with Mortal Kombat XL and Injustice 2, and now it's MK11's turn. So cast your vote now and lead MK11 to victory.

Mortal Kombat 11 Masquerade Skin Pack Now Available
by Roy Arkon on Oct 18, 2019 :: 0 Comments

A new Skin Pack is now available for purchase for Mortal Kombat 11. That is the Masquerade Skin Pack, which includes 3 Halloween-themed skins. Those skins are Wicked Witch Jade, Calavera Liu Kang and Psyko Killer Kabal. All Skins also come with 3 matched Gear pieces, one for each section for each character. The Psyko Killer Kabal Skin and it's matched Gear pieces in particular are inspired by Jason Voorhees, who you probably remember being a guest character in Mortal Kombat XL.

It should be noted that this Skin pack is separated from MK11's Kombat Pack 1, so you will have to pay for it separately, just like in the case for the Kold War and Brazil Skin Packs for MKX (although they eventually became a part of MKX's Kombat Pack 2). The Skin pack cost 6$, so go purchase it right now and enjoy the new Halloween Skins.

Here is the Trailer for the Masquerade Skin Pack, enjoy.

Ed Boon Interivew: Big Surprise Coming In 2020
by Roy Arkon on Oct 16, 2019 :: 0 Comments

Ed Boon was at the Brazil Game Show which took place this past weekend. In an interview there, he talked about the creation of Mortal Kombat 11 (for example how it was made after the Variation system from Mortal Kombat XL) and also how it is to meet the Brazilian Fighting Game Community.

When asked if there are any news or projects regarding MK for the future, Boon says that the answer is yes and no, as this is basically the end of the story (for MK11, that is) but there are still more characters to come, and NetherRealm Studios have a big surprise coming next year for MK.

Check out the interview below:

Obviously, the characters that will be added are in relation to Kombat Pack 2 that should be announced next year for MK11, but the "big surprise" that Boon mentioned, whatever it might be, can lead to several things. One can assume that Boon will keep teasing that surprise until it will be officially announced. Until then, we will just have to wait.
