Ed Boon Deconfirms Ash Williams Leak, Teasing An Update

by Roy Arkon on Sep 2, 2020 :: 2

A couple of days ago, Richard Epcar (who voiced both Raiden and the Joker in NetherRealm Studios games since Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe) has stated in a Q&A video that Bruce Campbell, the actor behind the character of Ash Williams from the Evil Dead series, will appear in Mortal Kombat 11 as part of the "new package" of the game, supposedly leaking Ash Williams and another huge update for MK11.

Ed Boon then came to Twitter to set the record straight, deconfirming the false reveal from Epcar regarding Ash Williams, which means that Ash won't be added to MK11's roster, and he even did it in more then one Tweet in order make sure that there will absolutely no confusion whatsoever about the matter.

That's not to say that there will be no update at all, as before Boon deconfirmed the false leak, he also teased on Twitter that something is indeed on the way to MK11.

As you might remember, Boon and NRS have stated before MK11's release that this will be the longest supported NRS title to date, and now Boon keeping the hype going regarding the next course of support for the game, while also confirming that it won't include As Williams. What exactly that update will be? And which characters will be added to the game if such support action leans towards that addition? We might find out very soon.

Ed Boon Teasing Ermac and Smoke For Mortal Kombat 11?

by Roy Arkon on Jul 12, 2020 :: 1

Ed Boon is coming with what can possibliy be another character tease, in a 2 for 1 special for that matter. First, Boon has Tweeted this trailer, confirming that Human Smoke is coming to Mortal Kombat Mobile, which features his iconic Living Forest secretive lurking hint from Mortal Kombat II.

This could've end right here as it officially confirms that Human Smoke is coming to MK Mobile, but it didn't. Almost immidiatly after that Tweet, Boon came with another one, featuring Scorpion, Human Smoke (with the same render from the MK Mobile trailer) and Ermac.

This might be nothing more then just another tease. However, with the high potential for more characters and content for Mortal Kombat 11, it seems that this could lead to the inclusion of both the Red and Gray Palliate Swap Ninjas for MK11. We will see what happens in the upcoming months.
