Ed Boon Teases Shang Tsung For Mortal Kombat 11 And More
by Roy Arkon on Mar 7, 2019 :: 0 Comments

Two weeks ago, we reported that Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa is teasing Shang Tsung who he portrayed in previous Mortal Kombat media for Mortal Kombat 11, and it was probably only a matter of time before Ed Boon would go for a tease of his own. MK's co-creator and head of NetherRealm Studios has posted this Tweet with a GIF of Tagawa under the role of Shang Tsung.

Also, during the MK11 story trailer that was posted yesterday, we can see for a moment a group of people being hanged by ropes while their souls being drained.

MK11 Hanged People

As you might remember, one of the stages introduced in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance was the Nethership, and Mortal Kombat: Deception introduced the Nethership Interior as a separated one. According to MK lore, the ship's main duty is to carry captives and even the mummified remains of Onaga the Dragon King's lost army back to Shang Tsung's Palace in Outworld. Prisoners serve the remainder of their lives in slavery, only to surrender their souls to Shang Tsung when they die. And it does look like the Nethership is making a comeback in MK11 as seen in the screenshot below, which means that the hanged people might be indeed Nethership prisoners.

Possible Nethership Return In MK11

All of those hints further indicating the possible comeback of the first ever MK final boss for MK11. We will see if they would indeed lead up to this.

Is Ed Boon Teasing Reptile And Khameleon/Chameleon For MK11?
by Roy Arkon on Jan 12, 2019 :: 0 Comments

Ed Boon has Tweeted this image of a small lizard in what appears to be a cave of sorts, along with the question "Reptile konfirmed?".

Mortal Kombat 11 Reptile Confirmed

Could this mean that Reptile, the green palette swap Saurian Ninja, will appear in Mortal Kombat 11? Or maybe Reptile will return along with either one of the other two secret Saurian ninjas, Khameleon and Chameleon, or even both?

Also, judging by the form of this lizard, could this mean that we will see Reptile once again in his fully fledged lizard form, the way he appeared in Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance? Considering that MK11 is set to feature some sort of a customization mode along with skins according to the information we have so far, this might be indeed one option that players will be able to choose for Reptile. We will have to wait and see.

Author's opinion: As Reptile being my all time favorite character from Mortal Kombat and all Fighting Games, I really hope this is true. I can't wait for the community reveal event next week!
