Re: Tutorial: Extracting, Modifying and Importing MK9 Textur
Try doing it in a 'Clean' folder.
Only the character package, injector, dds, & Texture2D files in it. See if that works better. BTW if your Character package gets corrupted during injection You'll need to use a new one Prior to trying again

Re: Tutorial: Extracting, Modifying and Importing MK9 Textur
Hi there,
Newbie at modding here, but really enjoy this site so far and am digging the skins people have been posting, so I wanna take a crack at it too. Question though...
Is there any rhyme or reason to editing the dss files? Take this Sonya one for example... What am I looking at? I mean, I can tell the face and upper torso, but as far as the outfit goes - is it just a lot of guess work? There are a lot of steps to re-package your edits and test them out in the game, so is there a secret to determining what you're editing in the dss file before you start messing around?
Any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks!

Basically guessing it's your best option. Just imagine both parts like an egg and a wrapping paper. It should work in most cases.

Re: Tutorial: Extracting, Modifying and Importing MK9 Textur
I suppose you should:Gurvemeh wrote:how do i upload them
- a. Create a README.txt describing your mod and how to install it
b. Take a few screenshots
c. ZIP (or RAR, because it has much a better compression ratio) the .xxx file alongwith the files from step a & b above
d. Create a new topic in the Skins section of this forum, and
e. Add the ZIP (or RAR) as a attachment to that topic.
