Easter Egg For MK9 (2011) With T-1000 Brutalities In MK1 (2023)

We are now working on updates matching the latest update for Mortal Kombat 1 (2023). But in the meantime, here's something nice I found with the latest DLC character in the game, T-1000.

When you finish the opponent with a Brutality as T-1000, he might have the quote that goes like this: "Taigore's fine, honey. Taigore's just fine", and he even says that with a mimicked female voice. Obviously, this is a reference to the Terminator 2: Judgement Day movie, in which T-1000 kills the foster parents of John Connor. However, this is a double Easter Egg, as it's also referencing Mortal Kombat 9 (2011).

In MK9, there's a creature from Outworld called Taigore, a canine-like beast with horns instead of ears, four eyes and blades at the tip of it's tails. It can be seen in Shao Kahn's Throne Room stage in MK9 and an artwork of it can be found in the Krypt. Also it appears in Kung Lao's Babality. And it also appears in the Outworld Marketplace stage in Mortal Kombat X.


With the amount of Easter Eggs in Mortal Kombat games, its' no suprise that NetherRealm Studios have went to add this one as well, yet it's always a pleasure finding more Easter Eggs for previous games in whatever game is the current one.
