Less than a week remains until Mortal Kombat 1 (2023): Khaos Reigns welcomes Ghostface, the first guest main fighter from the game. Netherrealm Studios has just dropped the official gameplay trailer, which you can watch right here:
The trailer showcases many highlights, including Ghostface’s unique Fatality and Animality, setting a thrilling tone for the new fighter.
To promote the new fighter and all the additional upcoming changes, Netherrealm Studios released the 11th instalment of the Mortal Kombat 1 (2023) Kombat Kast, focusing on Ghostface and giving a lot of information about the upcoming balance changes and new/modified moves.
In addition they also revealed, what was already heavily suspected, that Invasions Season 9 will be a repeat of the Season of the Spectre. The season first appeared as Season 1, when Invasions was a far cry from its current state in terms of encounter variety and overall gameplay maturity. So we expect this season to actually feel like a new one. Bringing Season 1 will be very welcome for everyone who did not get the chance to play it initially, this includes also all the Nintendo Switch players who saw a major delay in its release. For everyone who already played it, the developers are promising additional skins, so there will definitely be a reason for everyone to check it out again.

Ghostface promises to be a very interesting character who is able to switch between three different variations, with all of them having different characteristics and moves.

Ghostface arrives for all Khaos Reigns owners on November 19th, 2024. The character will be available for a separate purchase for everyone else starting November 26th, 2024

Re: Mortal Kombat 1 (2023) Ghostface Kombat Kast & Gameplay Trailer, MKII Kitana Skin
Amazing Kombat Kast, Ghostface looks amazing, his Fatal Blows is so nasty that is awesome, the 4th wall breaking Fatality is just as excellent, and the fact that we get to have both Kira and Kobra combing back with Ghostface is a super nice surprise
Speaking of surprises we got a replay takeover feature now. I didn't expect NRS/WB to add that since it has been clear that MK1 is a much more focused on single player content, but they did. And here is the thing, unlike Tekken 8 which using the ghosts feature for allowing the players to take control on on the chars, and therefore also led to a ton of issues with the actual replays not working correctly, MK1 is using the actual characters themselves controlled by the players, so in MK1 it's even better than Tekken 8.
Ans regarding single player content, Invasions Season 1 was still an amazing season with the much smaller variety, and that's the point of a seasonal-based mode, adding more stuff to it over time. But yes Season 1 will indeed be like a brand new Season.
NRS/WB have done it again, showing once again why Mortal Kombat 1 is the best fighting game around.

No matter the form, Reptile is always awesome
