Netherrealm Studios just released a new Mortal Kombat 1 (2023): Khaos Reigns gameplay trailer spotlighting Noob Saibot, one of six new playable characters coming to Mortal Kombat 1 (2023) as part of the expansion. The trailer features an in-depth look at Noob Saibot’s abilities and moveset, along with story elements that provide insight into his origins and role within the reimagined Mortal Kombat 1 (2023) Universe. In Fire God Liu Kang’s New Era, a godly Havik from another timeline stole Bi-Han’s soul to create the perfect henchman: Noob Saibot. As Sub-Zero, Bi-Han was the Lin Kuei’s ruthless Grandmaster who dreamed of making his clan a dominant force in Earthrealm. As Noob Saibot, Bi-Han is dedicated to fomenting anarchy. He will not rest until all forms of authority are eradicated.

Noob Saibot’s imposing moveset is on full display in the new trailer, including his use of teleportation to slam down opponents, ghostly projectiles that can detonate with explosive energy after attaching to foes, and the power to use an array of shadow-assisted attacks to take out enemies. The video also teases Noob Saibot’s Animality, the brutal finishing move allowing him to morph into a crocodile to annihilate his defeated opponents. The fan favorite Animalities will be available as a free content update for all Mortal Kombat 1 owners in conjunction with the Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns release on Sept. 24.

Mortal Kombat 1 Khaos Reigns Versions
Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns is a new expansion for Mortal Kombat 1, the latest installment in the acclaimed Mortal Kombat videogame franchise developed by award-winning NetherRealm Studios, which has sold more than 4 million units worldwide to date. The expansion features the next phase in the genre-defining narrative centered around peace and anarchy with all-new Story mode chapters (available on Sept. 24), along with the addition of Kombat Pack 2 including six playable characters – Cyrax, Sektor, and Noob Saibot (available on Sept. 24), and guest fighters Ghostface (Scream franchise), T-1000 (Terminator 2: Judgement Day), and Conan the Barbarian (post-launch release timing to be announced at a later date).

Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns is scheduled to release digitally on Sept. 24 at 4pm BST for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store). All Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns pre-orders will receive four new character skins, including Wedding Scorpion, Empress Mileena, and klassic Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 versions of Sub-Zero and Noob Saibot (available on Sept. 24).

That Animality is actually a callback to Noob's Saibot Make a Wish Fatality from MK9, that was a really clever idea. Also his Fatal Blow and his new Fatality in MK1 both look brutal as well, and the new stage and variations of already existing stage look so clean.

Also Shujinko just got a buff, he can now cancel his punch to his kick, so now he doesn't have to commit for the meditation charge if you just want to use his regular attacks. This can also be helpful in Invasions mode if you need to use Chaos-type attacks against Blood or Magic-type chars. And of course the new Tanya skins looks awesome.

Overall amazing trailer, can't wait for Khaos Reigns. Let's see what NRS/WB have to say in the Kombat Kast.
