Mortal Kombat 1 (2023) Kombat Kast #4: Invasions Mode, Reiko and Shang Tsung Showcase

We are literally several hours away from the start of the Early Access for Mortal Kombat 1 (2023). This means everyone who pre-ordered the Premium Edition of the game will be able to play it. Preloads have already started for PlayStation 5, XBox Series X/S and as of a couple of hours ago PC.

To mark the occasion, Netherrealm Studios has released their 4th Mortal Kombat 1 (2023) Kombat Kast with the title "It is Time". You can watch it here in case you have missed the live stream.

A big part of the Kombat Kast was to give players more details about Invasions Mode which is still somehow shrouded in mystery. Here is what we have learned:

• The first season will revolve around Hanzo Hasashi's Scorpion, who is searching for a timeline in which his wife is still alive.
• There will be a week break between seasons.
• No battle pass
• No pay to win/progress
• Every season will have different content and different unlocks
• There is a secret battle in every spot
• You will be leveling your entire roster, not separate characters
• Progression will reset between seasons
• There are different ways to unlock stuff, including just playing with the fighter, profile leveling, Invasions and Online
• Each season of Invasions will begin and end with a Story cinematic
• Once a season is over you will have to wait for it to return to unlock the content

In addition to all this we saw game play with Reiko and Shang Tsung.

The download on my all-new PS5 is now live as well, Invasion mode is gonna be insanely fun, and the characters that were shown (Mileena, Shang Tsung and Reiko) are all amazing!

Good thing the DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet has also arrived exactly today, and I also finally got to start the DLC for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge, both of these can keep me busy until MK1 will arrive tomorrow.

NRS/WB have done it again, another phenomenal Mortal Kombat game is on the horizon, the best and the greatest fighting game series of all time is coming to it's latest chapter!
