Upon the release of Mortal Kombat 1 (2023), Ed Boon had conducted an interview on the popular YouTube show Hot ones, with the guests get to answer question while eating a bunch of super spicy hot wings. Ed Boon answered a bunch of question regarding not only for the Mortal Kombat series but also his career as a whole, but the biggest, and hottest (pun intended) reveal from the whole interview is that we finally got a first look at the highly anticipated Jean-Claude Van Damme skin for Johnny. As Boon mentioned already and also in this interview as well, this is a full-circle moment for the MK to finally not only have a Jean-Claude Van Damme skin molded after him for the character that ended being created from the inspiration that the MK team originally, but to have Van Damme himself to do the voice lines for Johnny Cage as well.
