Pac-Man in Classic Mortal Kombat Games

Post by Gambid »

There are tons of less known Easter eggs in all Mortal Kombat games and since we are still celebrating the franchise's 30th Anniversary, here is one that recently made the rounds on Twitter.

In the original Mortal Kombat 1, in the far right corner of the Palace Gates stage, there are hidden icons of Pac-Man, alongside an icon of the Ghost, also from Pac-Man. The Tweet made by long time community member TotalMK stated that this was John Tobias' idea, according to Ed Boon. The tweet was quickly picked up by Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon, who corrected that this was actually John Vogel's idea. Regardless of who's idea it was, it was a cool one.

And it doesn't stop there, as the same Easter egg is present in Mortal Kombat 3 and it's updates on two separate stages. On the street stage in a non visible part of the arena, at the top of the building and in the graveyard arena on one of the stones. Have a look:
What Easter eggs do you know. Tell us in the comments.
