John Tobias Shares MK1 Arcade Test Story

Post by Roy Arkon »

As we get closer the 30th anniversary of the Mortal Kombat franchise, we now get another piece of history, this time from John Tobias. It was today 30 years ago, April 10th, 1992, that Tobias and Ed Boon came to test the prototype for Mortal Kombat 1 at Times Square Arcade on Clark and Broadway in Chicago, IL. Tobias tells how things went down, and how they could see where the game was going to go, and even shares images of one of the tokens taken from that very same Arcade machine on that very same day, from both sides (there are two sides for every coin, after all  ).

Check out Tobias' Twitter thread about the story below, enjoy.
