can you guys help me swap Sub-Zero to Scorpion because Subzero doesn't have enough letters and i don't know how to do it

Download this:
http://www.gildor.org/down/41/umodel/extract.zip

Use it on your .xxx file of scorpion.

Then use this on your scorpion again:
http://www.gildor.org/down/41/umodel/decompress.zip

Then you will get a new .xxx from that tool.

Now you need to open the folder that the FIRST tool have created, you will find "nametable.txt". Open it and rename subzero and scorpion however you like :D

Then use this tool on the new.xxx from the 2nd tool:
http://www.mksecrets.net/forums/eng/vie ... =97&t=9172

You will get a file with the name _out.xxx in the end. Just rename it and it MUST work. If you get %PLAYERNAME% just tell me. You will need to do the same for the SCRIPTASSETS file too.

i tried this but the game crashes just before the match begins .Any idea what's the problem ?

Open your file in a hex editor, you will find that there's still a scropion "Characters.CHAR.Scorpion.CHAR_Scorpion_A", rename this to "Char_Subzero_A" without the "Characters.CHAR.Scorpion" and it must do it.

didn't work either .still crashes during match loading

i know i did something wrong but still don't know what .I want to mesh swap jacqui's scorpion kosplay a.k.a. jaxjr_n to scorpion_s .I extracted ,decompressed &edited "nametable.txt" of jaxjr_n to scorpion_s then used package appender for both char.xxx &char.scriptasset.xxx .but when i open them in hex editor i didn't find any "scorpion" only the original "jaxjr" .in char.scriptasset.xxx i found "Characters.CHAR.jaxjr.CHAR_jaxjr_A", rename this to "Char_Scorpion_A" but didn't work then tried to rename all jaxjr to scorpion in char.xxx &char.scriptasset.xxx but didn't work either

You can't change a skin from one to another. So if it was JaxJr_N then it must become Scorpion_N, not Scorpion_S! If you really want to make it into S, then this is how:

Use my NCM tool on JaxJr_N, run the tool so that you want to make JaxJr_N into JaxJr_S. Then after you're done you will get JaxJr_N (you don't need the MKOs, only the CHAR file and the SCRIPTASSETS one, nothing else). Now you can go ahead and edit the name table, rename every JaxJr_S to Scorpion_S and every JaxJr_N to Scorpion_N.

i forgot to ask what about the other JaxJr (without _n) in name table should i also rename them to scorpion ?and the same question for jaxjr in hex editor (other than Characters.CHAR.jaxjr.CHAR_jaxjr_A) should i also rename them?

Yeah basically rename every JaxJr to Scorpion.
