They should open with Quan Chi betraying Shinnok to get the amulet and then watch Liu Kang beat him. Then the Deadly Alliance will try to take over.

The plot will be something like this:
A small red portal opens in front of a huge black tower that is still being constructed.
Liu Kang,Kitana,Jax,Sonya and Raiden walk through.
Shinnok is standing a couple hundred feet front of the steps of the might black tower.
He has a massive amount of extermination squad warriors in the back of him.They are also in a large circle around the warriors and the portal.
They are very ordered, but act aggressivley, as if they are going to swarm and attack them any moment.
Shinnok's eyes glow bright green briefly,then fade back.
He holds a Gold Scepter.
Shinnok:Raiden...I've been expecting you. I have yet to repay you for the wonderful torture I've experienced in The Netherealm. Heres a thankyou.
Shinnok tries to excecute a projectile attack on Raiden,but the thunder god stops Shinnok using his powers.
Raiden:I'm not here for a greeting. I want to know how you escaped.
Shinnok:Oh, how come on now Raiden?Does that really matter?
Shinnok gets closer to Raiden
Raiden:No. Because you're going back.
Shinnok:Really?I think not.
Suddenly,green skulls suddenlybegin to come from Shinnok's back.
There is a large number of them flying around Shinnok and the warriors.
Raiden and the chosen warriors look around at them,then back at Shinnok.
Green skulls swirl around Shinnok, and soon after, Quan Chi appears next to the elder god.
Liu looks at Kitana, confused.
Liu Kang: What's going on?
Kitana:scorcerery
Suddenly, a figure dressed in black with spikes on his shoulders walks from behind Shinnok.
His skin was white and he had no hair.
Quan Chi:Princess Kitana, it's always good of you to join us.
Kitana:Sadly, I cannot be the same.
Raiden: Quan Chi; Of course. Even the Elder Gods can detect your presence.

Then the Mortal Kombat Dragon logo appears and says DEVASTATION after MORTAL KOMBAT. The music sounds like the one in the first movie. Not like the second. Well there you have it.

Liu Kang and his friends meet new enemies and friends along their journey.
