The long expected Mortal Kombat: Arcade Kollection Patch has finally been released on XBLA in Europe and North America. No information is available about the PSN US release.

Patch Notes
Mortal Kombat Arcade Collection - v1.02 patch notes

General Game
- Fixed issues with game completion achievements not being unlocked upon successful completion of MK, MKII, or UMK3
- Ability to expand the game to a full screen display has been added to the Options menu.
- Gamma levels have been adjusted for arcade emulations to better represent the original arcade versions.
- Tweaks have been made to the arcade emulation display to better represent the original arcade versions.
- Tweaks have been made to the arcade emulation speed to best reflect the original arcade experience.
- Overall game stability has been improved.

Networking
- Fixed the Network lag issue experience by many players that resulted in delayed control response and slow gameplay despite fast networking connections.
- Majority of Kombat Kodes have been enabled in Friendly Kombat online matches.
- Nametag and ranking of rival players are hidden from user when engaging in a ranked match until the match has begun to deter players from quitting based on who they are matched with.
- Fixed In-lobby bandwidth meter to accurately reflect the connection speed.
- Quitting a Ranked Kombat match or backing out of a Ranked Kombat match both now result in a loss to the quitting player, affecting his Kombat Rating.
- Gamertags \ PSN Usernames have been added to the display during online matches so that players are able to better see who they are fighting.
- Animation has been added to online match up screen when waiting for a rival player to provide feedback that the game has not frozen.

Finally. I really wanted that patch to come out so I can do combos online that I couldn't do before. Well I guess it's time to start playing again.

Online play works like a charm now, and the stretch screen option is great.
Will play again for the 200 points.^^

You know what'd be nice, though? You guys know how Shang Tsung could turn into Kano, yet it almost never works if you try to? It'd be nice if they'd try to make that work out correctly. Also, it'd be nice if they'd add Noob Saibot and Rain to the cast of playable characters, even though that would make the emulation no longer "arcade-perfect." But, I digress. This patch really does help, though.

While that seems like something Shao Kahn might say, it really stems from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. Ha ha! Sorry.

I do not think that they have changed things in the ROMS themselves. My guess would be that they just wrapped their implementations around the original game. Adding Noob Saibot wouldn't make the game arcade imperfect. Noob Saibot was playable in the WaveNet Edition of UMK3. However Rain is another story.

Still, Gambid, wouldn't that be kind of cool?
And by the way, Rain is in the ROM in some form cause he's in the attract mode opening screen. Although, his name on the health bar is not italicized like every one else's, and I don't think that if he were accessed, he'd be entirely playable. Something weird would probably happen. Or he'd lack special moves or something. Not at all unlikely, though, that he'd have everything but finishers, seeing as how he and Noob on home versions have a full movelist, but no finishers. Again, though, it'd be nice in my opinion. But that's just me, I suppose.

Yes, it would have been cool, that's for sure. Unfortunately even MAME does not have the WaveNet Edition and the game is currently lost to all of us.

I don't think the tracks were made available online. Don't think that they ever will be. Have you tried YouTube.

Which track do you need exactly.

Have you guys already tried the patched version. What do you think.

Here's a list of issues I've found with the 1.02 patch (issues that all existed in previous version but obviously have not got fixed)

1. MK1 Uppercut has no SFX other than a weak little sound nothing like the arcade
2. MK1 clapping SFX is not from arcade (not a big issue but sounds odd nonetheless)
3. MK1 Goro's lair BGM cuts off whenever fighting against Endurance 3 or Goro
4. MK1 credits/ending music is not like the arcade, it keeps looping right from the beginning of the track, when it should be looping somewhere halfway
5. MK2 Intro/character select/BGM Music has skips and small audio gaps
6. MK2 Credits/Ending music sounds completely wrong, loops from wrong place as well
7. MK2 SFX for random select sometimes keeps repeating over and over
8. MK2 bizarre SFX used when player lands from a jump
9. MK2 Sub Zero's ice ball special move sounds glitched with a gap in audio
10. UMK3 BGM is not loud enough compared to SFX
11. UMK3 Galaga Kombat Kode does not work
12. Arcade filter looks good on stretch, but on standard and cabinet mode looks really messed up

Hello there,i got a problem: my PS3 always freeze after ive beaten Shao Khan with Scorpion in UMK3. Have someone else this problem too??

I have no money to buy it. Me sad, I only have a trial version and I'm annoyed by messages, like "buy the full game and you can play without any restrictions, bla-bla-bla". Bawww. Also, I want to find the working GOD-version of game. Every single version, which was found by me requires the Windows Live ID password

@dada these are only sound problems. It would have been nice if they were not there but they do not really break the game like gameplay issues do.
