I need help on Goro and Shang Tsung

I tried MK1 on the arcade collection and Goro and Shang Tsung are nearly impossible. I beat them, but like the first time when I faced Shao Khan: it took me a long time to win. If anyone has any advice I'd appreciate it.

In given time you will just start understanding their pattern. But the boss characters are usually tough. I think Goro is harder than Shang Tsung, because Tsung is vulnerable when he morphs.

Basically learn to react on what they are doing and you will be just fine in a while. Oh yes, learn some combos.

I didn't know it was possible to do a combo in MK1. But even if I master those combos will I be able to do them against Goro? If I get close to him he'll just throw me, so how will I be able to pull it off?

There are no build-in combos in MK1 in the way they exist in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 or MK9. But you can still string together several attacks making an unblockable combo.

It all depends on the combo.

Thanks. Once I get a chance to practice, I'll practice the combos they can do. I saw some on the strategy guide, and starting with an anti-air on any MK game has always been hard for me. But like you said, be patient and I'll be able to do it.
