That depends.
The new Mortal Kombat is announced as a reboot.
You see Shang Tsung old again, just like in the very first Mortal Kombat.
If they reboot the story and start right there, where MK1 started or change the story and if Liu Kang is in the game at all, we may see him the way we saw him in MK1.
