This is supposed to be the last news of this year. The news is so good, that it's hard for me to believe it's true. There is already a website ( EBGames.com) where you can pre-order Mortal Kombat 6. The prise is $49.99 and you can take it for Play Station 2 and X-Box. There is a release date too. According to this site the game will ship on 10/12/2004. Here is the direct link to the page. I visited the page. Unfortunately there is nothing more than the price and the release date. Hope that the box of the game will really 'come soon'!
