MK11 Has Received A New Patch With Updates To The Premium Shop

Yes, it happened again. Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate has received yet anther unexpected patch out of nowhere, this time for in-game premium shop, as stated by the official Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate Twitter page.

It is unclear what are the actual changes to the shop via this patch, as there are no patch notes at the moment, if they are even going to be released at all. This can lead to many different possible scenarios, but we will make sure to keep you updated if and when more information about the shop is revealed.

I don't expect anything, so whatever changed it probably was necessary to keep things operational. (Things like security and bugs that need to be fixed)

Another expansion with dlcs would be cool, I hope that in the next game of the franchise they bring Repetile back.

Another expansion would indeed be nice, this is however what NetherRealm Studios said will not happen.

There will be no more new content for MK11.

Unless the modding community figures out how to create new skins and add fighters.

NRS/WB are not gonna censor a skin nearly 4 years after the game's launch, especially since there is nothing to censor anyway. Whoever you heard that from is only an attention seeking liar.

That is still not censorship though, and like I said there is nothing to censor there anyway. And before anyone says that this is because of the war between Ukraine and Russia, this can't be related to that either, as the invasion has started nearly a year ago, all the way back in February in fact, which is even before the crossover patch that MK11U got in April. If they wanted to change the Kold War skin as part of censorship, they would do it back then instead of waiting up until now to do so.

The change is a fact, the reasons for it are unclear, as there is no official statement.

The current situation may indeed have something to do with it. As to why now and not earlier, there might be multiple reasons for it.

Indeed, the change is factually there, but there is no clear reason why to do it now, and it defiantly can't be because of the invasion. My only guess is that they it was just an artistic choice, nothing more.

No one will go just for artistic choices back to a game they said they will no longer support and do something like this.

If I have to guess, someone from upper management decided that WB should refrain from using such symbols and they had to do it.

Keep in mind, they renamed the skin as well, so this has everything to do with the current situation for me.
