As I said earlier, the demand isn't that high. And yes, that means that not many people want to have a remake like this.

If the news about it came in from dozens of sites on the internet, both MK-related, FGC-related and general video game news sites, with multiple of those places, including us, encouraging people to sign the petition, and yet even in our own Facebook page only less than 10K people, out of the 200K that saw the news, even clicked on the post in order to read it, and the petition itself still doesn't even have 25K signs out of 100K, while in contrast, MKXL and MK11U both got over 12 Million copies sold each, as well as the 2D MK games are getting green-lit to be in a new edition of an Arcade cabinet from Arcade1Up, the only explanation is that even though the callings for an MK Trilogy remake are extremely loud, the amount of people who actually calling for it is not really that high, and when you look at the grand scheme of things, it's not that a ton of people want it, it's just that the people who do want it are highly vocal, but the level of collective voicedness doesn't always equal to the level of actual collective desire.

I'm afraid that WB were right that a remake like this won't sell enough copies, and keep in mind that 100K units is, once again, not even close to the sales of 12 million copies that either MKXL or MK11U got. WB were actually very large with the devs regarding the sales ceiling that they gave them being very low, and they can't even get that many people to sign the petition despite all the help not just from the MK community, but the entire gaming community. If the level of collective voicedness actually matched the level of collective desire for this project, then the quantity of signs for the petition, as well as the speed of the petition reaching it's goal, should have reflect that by now.

No matter the form, Reptile is always awesome
