Goro Joins MK: Deception (NGC)

The new issue of Nintendo Power has an intervew with Ed Boon. He reveals that Shao Kahn will not be the only one exclusive character for the GameCube version of the game. Goro will also join the team as a playable character. Here is what Ed had to say about the inclusion of these characters:

NP: What led to the inclusion of Goro and Shao Kahn as exclusive characters? EB: Since the Nintendo GameCube version is coming out after the other versions, we wanted to add something exclusive and special to set it apart. People have always wanted to control the boss characters in MK, and now we are giving them the chance to control two of the biggest, baddest bosses from any MK game!

It looks like I'll be selling my PS2 version to EB Games and getting GC one. I got one of those special packs for the game. I'll keep MK1 and sell MK: Deception.

My question:
"Hi Midway
Since you guys are working on Mortal Kombat Deception for the Gamecube are you making a Kollector's Edition/Premium Pack like the ones on the other consoles?

Midway's answer:
"Hi Noah
Ed Boon didn't like the idea.But we might have this mode called Mortal Kombat Legacy.Which will include:The no.1 arcade hit Midway's Mortal Kombat,Mortal Kombat 2 and MK3.But we are not sure if we decide to put MK Legacy on the Gamecube.
Since the Gamecube hs no online broadband we cannot put Online Mode in the game.Sorry.

noooo. why they have to unlocable in ps2 some how if any of you can i wonder tho what they could have to do with the story at all since GORO is already dead and Shao khan possibly teribbly wounded or dead also. what would the fighting styles be (Shao kahn would have a hammer as a weapon)

I say to the people that don't have a gamecube [including me] just buy a pre-owned one from EB, in Canada and the U.S. they're are about the same price of a GBA SP or cheaper. That's what I'm planning to do, though I don't like their controllers.

I will still play my Xbox more but since Xbox has only 2 WWE wrestling games that's all I'll be doing with it, Wrestling and Mortal Kombat.
