Post by Gambid »

The remastering of the The History of Mortal Kombat series continues today with Episode 03. This episode centers around Mortal Kombat 3 and the very much beloved Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. The premier of the episode and the live chat was watched by 80 people and was a lot of fun for all of us. In case you missed it, you can enjoy the episode right now:
Make sure to tune in for the next premier for a chance to discuss the episode with the people involve in its production.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the creation of the episode and its remaster. Special thanks to James Croft, who narrated this episode.

Great episode like always, just 2 points I wanna make:

1) MK as a series, while having some games that were more defensive, was always a more offensive based in it's gameplay across all of it's games. Even the games that were more defensive were still very offensive at their core, so having the Run mechanic in MK3 and UMK3 wasn't a drastic change per se, it only made the games even more offensive then they already were.

2) While some of the new characters introduced in MK3 were less appealing like Stryker, most of them were actually very cool, like the Cyborg Ninjas and Kabal.

Once again great episode, huge kudos to everyone.

Hi, Roy!

Glad you enjoy the remastered version. The parts you mentioned are based on my observations when the game was released. Of course, things could be different to someone else.

The episode is doing great so far. It might even surpass the current views of Episode 02.
