Modding sounds + stances question

Post by BlackJack90 »

Hello,

I wanted to know if there is a way to mod the music/SFX of the game and switching stances.

For example, I want to switch Noob's stance to Sub-Zero's.

PS: Is there a way to make a special SFX for the older sub costume and have him say "Now you will face death cold embrace" ?

Thanks.

As far as I know, changing sounds is currently not possible. Someone should correct me in case I am wrong.

The same with stances swap. You currently can't exchange models.

Could someone tell me if it is possible to edit the sound effects during fatalities and if so what to use to do it?

There are a couple of minor annoyances i would like to fix to my liking.

This thread could use another reply. Is there a tutorial for switching sounds around?

Thanks, anyone who replies.

Let's put this back up. Just a link to the right thread would be ok.

There's something confusing on sounds, and nothing on meshes as far as I'm aware.

Thx guys.

I was able to extract the sound files from a .xxx file, but I would like to know how to compress the modified files back into the .xxx file.

Steps for extracting:

Use the Unreal Package Extractor (gildor.org) to extract the files from the .xxx file.

The files that contain audio have the extension .FmodEventFile.

Download the Sound Mod Tools by oubgrdevvbuyn on another thread in this forum.

Run the .FmodEventFile through fsbii.exe and you'll get a .fsb file.

Run the .fsb file through towav.exe and you'll get all the .mp3 audio files from the .fsb.
