Putting Classic costumes on other characters?

Putting Classic costumes on other characters?

I know mods already exist for this purpose but I'd love to learn how to let's say put the female MK2 costume on Skarlet or the MK1/MK2 costume on Rain I've been trying to find information about it but haven't really found much. I'd appreciate it if I could get some help trying to learn how to do that.
