Your console is dead. Send it for repair.

Dead Ring isn't fixable.
When the rings goes red, you can use the console again, but it's broken. Most of the peoples sell's it, which is stupid, cuz the buyer gets a broken console, which isnt fixable. There comes the momment, when the console wont run any games.

Microsoft has the biggest bug in console and it's called: dead ring.

then you wait to recieve it.

3. get it back and some free thing

WOW - is the biggest waste of time that could ever happen to someone.

PS3 has yellow light of dead, but it's a problem only for 40 and 60GB hdd ps3's. Mine is 80, so I don't care.

Most of the ppl's here can't fix the boxes, some of them sold em, others just throw em out and get PS3.

Shooters are ment for PC, for some OLD and FANCY reasons, who seems to die in the past two years.

its called the RED RING OF DEATH not dead ring or w/e. and it is fixable on rare occasions. for example- my friend chase got the ROD and he hit the 360 like 20 times, wrapped it in a towel, let it sit for 1/2 hour, and it worked again. but that was luck so dont get ur towels out

Oh my...
Turning off the system will simply let it cool down. Wrapping it in a towel does nothing, trust me.
Either your friend lied or the XBox had simply overheated which might cause a temporal malfunction which in some cases is accompanied by another sometimes serious but still not fully developed technical issue.

The towel trick worked for me. Take all the cords out but the power supply. Wrap it in a ton of towels. Run it for 15 mins. Turn it off and unwrap it for 15 mins. And theres a chance it might work. It was running for about a month for me and I had to do that everytime to turn it on.
