You guys are still missing something. Consider this. Games that are merely ports do not count. Games that look and play different do count. There are 6 titles to mention here, so far you got 4 of them. The first one to mention all 6 gets the point. We even wrote a Kombat Kolumn about one of the unmentioned versions.

MK9 is 2d, it has characters from mk3 in it, there are babalities, stage fatalities, it has DLC costumes from MK3, and some of the stages are also from MK3. Plus the game is a remake of the first 3 games.

I kind of misled you on the number, there are more than 6. And mk master 365 made a giant break through. But there is still something missing. Think small devices.
And btw: We will count the GameBoy, Master System and GameGear versions of MK3 as one. Because they look pretty much the same.
