In bulgarian forum I posted the same topic and now I think its time to write it in this one,too.
I've started an own 3d game project. This is the game i was talkin about in my previous modification. However now its time for the big things. I think Mortal Kоmbat: Incoming Darkness will be unique and something never seen before.
Before time when i started my 1st project i was the only person in the team, but now we are 10. There are 1 professional programmer and 1 pro. 3d designer in the team. The others are part helpers (programing, design, screens, etc. ..)

Look at the name of the topic, it contains words "next gen". That means the game will have the same quality of graphic as all the other nextgen games and probably the same quality of gameplay.

The programs that will be used:
3D Studio Max 7
3D Canvas Pro (shareware version)
Adobe Photoshop CS2/CS3
Texturing Coordinates
Microsoft Visual C++
Microsoft DirectX SDK

3D editing programs have an advantage. From a simple render can be created a complete 3D model with Surface's tool help:

Things that have been done for now:
- fully 3D menu
- game features: Arcade / Versus / Online / Music player / General Options
- we are thinkin about new feature: Arena Kombat - fight as long as you can
- we've started workin on gameplay animations.
- game logo wallpaper (still in developing process)
- Scorpion model almost finished. I will post screens after i finish sub zero.
- Sub Zero head almost finished
- Over 250 soundtracks added to music player. Listen to one of them by clicking here.

well , this time can u try to make special moves and the fatalities with the mouse motions plz?
if u can also make babalities , that would be great.

No, we will create the engine. Be sure it wont be left incomplete, because this time its something special ;> , but it will take lots of time.

No, you will be able to use only buttons. Why? Because i dont want to include mouse ;>

anyway could u try to revive stuff from the old school mortal kombat games.

What stuff? If you mean gameplay - I choose it ;> . If not, then be more direct

Making an engine from scratch can take years, I suggest using a borrowed engine. Even Ed Boon doesn't create new engine :P

I've changed game name now its Mortal Kоmbat: Incoming Darkness.

all the soundtracks for the game are ready. Almost all of them are collected, but some are by my team's DJ. Sound effects are ready too.
