A New Hope for the Australian Mortal Kombat Fans

Post by Gambid »

When Mortal Kombat 9 was first released back in April 2011, the game was refused classification by the Australian Classification Board, which banned it from store shelves on the continent. Same fate was also shared by the PS Vita version. This provoked a heated discussion, which ultimately resulted in the introduction of the previously absent R18+ rating for video games.

With the core issue resolved, previously banned titles can be resubmitted for classification and according to fellow Mortal Kombat website Kamidogu.com, Warner Bros. is planning to submit Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition for classification.

Let's hope everything goes well and who knows, may be Germany will follow...
