As originally reported by the Hollywood Reporter, some of the characters from the original movie are going to make a return, all voiced by the same voice actors as well: Scorpion/Hanzo Hasashi (Patrick Seitz), Sonya Blade (Jennifer Carpenter), Johnny Cage (Joel McHale), Liu Kang (Jordan Rodrigues), Raiden (Dave B. Mitchell), Shang Tsung (Artt Butler), Jax Briggs (Ikè Amadi), Shinnok (Robin Atkin Downes), Kitana, Satoshi Hasashi (both being voiced by Grey Griffin) and Shao Kahn (Fred Tatasciore).
In addition, a bunch of new characters are also gonna make it to the movie, some are going to be voiced by some of the original voice actors along with new ones: Mileena (Griffin), Cyrax (Butler), Reiko (Downes), Kintaro, Sektor (both being voiced by Mitchell), Kurtis Stryker, Smoke (both being voiced by Matthew Mercer), Kuai Liang Sub-Zero (Bayardo De Murguia), Kung Lao (Matt Yang King), the Lin Kuei's Grandmaster (Paul Nakauchi), Jade (Emily O’Brien), D’Vorah (Debra Wilson), and last but the not least (and yes, no joke), the One Being (Amadi).
Ed Boon also came along to share his excitement for the movie, and also to confirm by himself that the movie is of course going to be Rated R.
Mortal Kombat Legends: Battle of the Realms is expected for a late summer release by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, and in coordination with NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.
