A couple of days ago, Richard Epcar (who voiced both Raiden and the Joker in
NetherRealm Studios games since
Mortal Kombat Vs. DC Universe) has stated in a Q&A video that Bruce Campbell, the actor behind the character of Ash Williams from the Evil Dead series, will appear in
Mortal Kombat 11 as part of the "new package" of the game, supposedly leaking Ash Williams and another huge update for
MK11.
Ed Boon then came to Twitter to set the record straight, deconfirming the false reveal from Epcar regarding Ash Williams, which means that Ash won't be added to
MK11's roster, and he even did it in more then one Tweet in order make sure that there will be absolutely no confusion whatsoever about the matter.
That's not to say that there will be no update at all, as before Boon deconfirmed the false leak, he also teased on Twitter that something is indeed on the way to
MK11.
As you might remember, Boon and
NRS have stated before
MK11's release that this will be the longest supported
NRS title to date, and now Boon keeping the hype going regarding the next course of support for the game, while also confirming that it won't include Ash Williams. What exactly that update will be? And which characters will be added to the game if such support action leans towards that addition? We might find out very soon.
