After the release of the 6th and final
Mortal Kombat 11 DLC kombatant a lot of fans have been asking, whether we will see more support from Netherrealm Studios for the latest installment of the Mortal Kombat franchise. So far there were only some hint from Creative Director and series co-creator Ed Boon. That all changed today with the following announcement trailer:
Netherrealm Studios will reveal their plans for the game on
May 6th, 2020 and we plan to be there for the reveal.
What we can take from the trailer is a possible continuation of the
Mortal Kombat 11 story in some way, which sounds really exciting for us. What we need to mention here is the fact that original Shang Tsung motion picture actor
Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa returns for the announcement trailer to reprise his role as the voice of Shang Tsung.

We can't of course confirm anything, as we simply don't know yet, but we sure hope to see his
Shang Tsung in a continuation of the
Mortal Kombat 11 story mode. Mortal Kombat's original sorcerer do need time in the spotlight as he has been kind of overshadowed by
Quan Chi in the latest games.
What other things Netherrealm Studios has in store for us? This and much more we hope to find out tomorrow. What do you think? Let us know in the comments.
