John Tobias Is Now Working For WB Games

We got some big news on our hands, as John Tobias, one of the original co-creators of the Mortal Kombat series alongside Ed Boon, is now working with WB Games, and is now building the WB Games San Diego Studios, all with the intention to make new games under WB's publishing.

Tobias worked with Boon back in Midway ever since the beginning of the MK series with Mortal Kombat 1, and left the company while Boon and the MK team were still working on Mortal Kombat: Special Forces. Since then, Boon kept working on the MK series as the sole director of the MK team, and now they all work on the MK series in NetherRealm Studios.

At this moment, there is no confirmation that Tobias will collaborate with Boon and NRS in any way regarding Mortal Kombat 11 or any future projects, but considering that both Boon and Tobias are working under the same publisher once again for the first time in two decades, one can assume that it's only a matter of time (no pun intended) that both iconic directors will work once again together for a Mortal Kombat game.
