Mortal Kombat: Deception Playable On Xbox 360

Post by Gambid »

IGN posted the following news article:
Today, at last, Microsoft opened up about which Xbox titles you'll actually be able to play on Xbox 360. Along with a compatibility Q&A on the official site, Microsoft released an initial list of Xbox games confirmed to be compatible -- more than 200 already. Have a good look: Half-Life 2, Halo 2, check and check. Jade Empire? No problem. Super Bubble Pop fans, do not despair. Best of all, you can keep those tummies tight: Yourself!Fitness is so ready for X360.

Of course, backwards compatibility requires a software emulator -- one good reason to grab the premium X360 package which includes a hard drive and the emulation tools.

Microsoft will be continuously updating the compatibility list with new titles, so be sure to check the real deal frequently.

Here they are so far. Get ready for it:

-...
- Mike Tyson Heavyweight Boxing
- Monster Garage
- Mortal Kombat: Deception
- MTV Music Generator 3
- Murakumo
-...
Mortal Kombat: Deception appears to be the only Mortal Kombat game compatible with XBox 360. However Microsoft will expand the list of supported titles very soon and the others two games might soon join Deception.

Software emulator?.....
Hmm
What if we could modify that software emulator for PC?
Would that be possible?

It is not impossible but without the source code I highly doubt it will be done.

Yep, i spoke today with someone who knows programming and said the same thing. It is not possible to port Xbox 360 software emulator to the PC but if someone gets the source code of that emu it will a lot, lot easier to do an Xbox emulator..But will be highly, highly illegal too..I don't know if someone will dare to risk prison just for the credits of an Xbox emu..
