Subzero's First Fatality

Post by Nenizeon »

Remember when the First Mortal Kombat was New? In 1992, It was released on Super Nintendo. Back when Raiden was known as Rayden and Subzero was Sub-zero.

And the question arised, we know Nintendo censored a lot of the game, with the blood and some Fatalities. Most morbid and gruesome of all, Subzero tearing out a fighter's spine and skull intact. So what happened to Subzero's first original fatality? Is it only on the arcade version and Sega Genesis? Are there special Super Nintendo cartridges that have his original fatality? Is there a code for the Super Nintendo to enable the original fatalities and blood?

Otherwise, Subzero's original fatality can only be found in the Sega Genesis and the old arcade cabinets.

Please post in the correct forum next time.

Sub-Zero's original Fatality is present in all versions except the SNES and the GameBoy ones.

More info here: http://www.mksecrets.net/mk1/eng/index.php

Unfortunately there is no patch, no code, nor a special edition that will enable the Fatality on the SNES version.

There is however a patched ROM for the game that will turn the blood back red.

BTW Sub-Zero's name as always been Sub-Zero.
