They have never spend just one year on a MK game. Each MK game was developed for at least two years with MK9 having the longest development time.

hmm.... i did not know that... well i hope they spend a year or two longer than mk9 then... they can have a seperate branch making nothing but dlc for the time being...

The problem is that at some point making DLC will be economically inefficient, because there wont be a lot of people who will want to buy them. People like to play a game and move on. A lot less people stick with the same game for a long time. Now fighting games are an exception in this rule, but still.

I kinda hope that the continuation of the story is just a download for this game. It wouldn't be that hard to pull off seeing as a lot of other games have done that. Plus I rather not have to get a whole other game where I have to get the upgraded costumes and characters all over again when they probably won’t change the characters and upgrades anyway. Better just to add on to something already great. I do have to say that the story in this storymode is by far the best Mortal Kombat “movie story” to date. There really hasn’t been a good Mortal Kombat movie except that TV show. My only complaint is that Kabal’s story line seemed a little short. For a bad ass, he sure didn’t last very long. That’s the other thing. They would have to come up with some resurrection thing for the next storymode because they killed off a lot of characters.

No further DLC has been announced. As far as we know the team is already working on the next game/projects.

I hope there is a sequel just fro closure. They do not at all need to change anything about the game. Everything i just fine the way it is. I only want to know if Shinok and Quan-chi succeed in their plans to take over earth realm and outworld.
