I happened to look at the wikipedia article about Mortal kombat 8, although a small artcile as of yet, i was aware that it is only being produced on PS3 AND Microsoft X-BOX 360. I assumed due to the popular demand of the WII, that it will appear on that console soon.
I do not have an X-BOX 360 nor A PS3 and due to this and to many other fans who have not got the appropriate console i wonder if they will make it on ps2, i was unsure at first then wondered if people do not have the appropriate consoles then there would be less sales.

Mortal Kombat 8 will use Epic´s Unreal Engine 3 technology. Neither PlayStation 2 nor Wii are capable of handling it.

So I don´t think that we will ever see Mortal Kombat 8 on those platforms.

that's lame, it's weird tho coz Midway only released one game on the Wii so why stop that when they could get a hell of a lot more money from Nintendo lovers.

They've released around half their releases on PS2, so I don't why we should keep having to fork over more goddamn money so we can get the newest console. I'll tell you what Sony are doing, they're ripping us off! Why should we need to pay over £300 for some extra graphics when we can stay with our beloved ps2? We never hated it before, why can't we just save our money for something we need more? It's so annoying!

On Ign's Wii site it actually has Mk next gen up for sometime this year for wii also.
So looks like you will be getting it.
