I grew bored and happened to send Midway an e-mail asking fans like us about if they knew anything about what Ed and his team are up to after releasing Unchained and Armageddon.

Midway replied,

Hello Mortal Kombat Master 777
We at Midway are currently working on two major next generation titles. A new Blitz game and a new Mortal Kombat game. For now we are still in progress for the new Blitz game. We believe the developers said that it will feature more violence and an all new play dirty system which we will be working on. On the other hand, the new Mortal Kombat game from what we've heard from Shaun Himmerick(game designer) is taking place in a whole new era. From what we've learned, he did mention about new fighting elements and a graphics engine showing realistic effects. That's all we have for now.

Please don't hesistate to ask us more questions

Yeah I have the feeling that they will stick to the same "2 unique fighting styles per fighter". But hopefully they will add a feature where the opponenets blood will stain on your clothing.

dude,like boon said,mk8 is gonna be a fresh start anyway.So probably,it'll be like MK1(i.e,minimum characters),but just new chars.that's all.

btw it's too early...to talk about mk8.

this is crazy at kamidogu i had a forum about a mk game idea where you can play as lui kangs father or sub zeros mother weird but if mko is RPG im going to kick boons @$$
