Realistically, MK11 will NOT get mods before "patching" ends

That is to say, with the game slated to be "patched" more than any other NRS before it -- both for game balancing (NRS translation: nerfing fun into oblivion :roll: ), and for the copious "DLC" that's rumoured to be added (19 characters, at last check) -- the game's executables (etc.) will be changed, again and again and again... And if mods and hacks (beyond mere texture mods / re-colours) need to either hook to said .exe's, or entail other more involved gameplay related modification, there really isn't much chance of anyone taking the time to create tools or mods for the game--while it still in such "flux".

What concerns me about this isn't that a substantive modding scene will not emerge for 6~12 months, rather, by the time game becomes "stable" enough to mod / its developers less patch-happy, people would have already moved on (...to Injustice 3 or whatever). Suffice it to say, this spells bad news for the MK11 modding scene.

My biggest fear is that no gameplay modification mods / hacks / tools will become available (à la the Street Fighter games routinely get) -- because of the above factor in concert with MK games being far more "casual focused" than the former game franchises traditionally has been...

So, does anyone have any info on whether MK11 will be neglected by the modding scene?... Or whether some people may actually pay attention to this franchise this time...?
