Have the author convert the mod to use dlc man 2.5 and diff files.... they work on any version of MKKE.

Ahh ok that's a rather clever way of doing it. I've tried mesh swapping in the past, but because we couldn't access the model to change the mesh names it would error out. Your method is suddenly making sense to me.

Hmm ok. That means that some of your issues might be from the package itself. I think the question then would be why do exported models turn out bigger? Is it one of those deals where blender just does it's magic and there isn't anything we can do, or is it something that can be stripped out, perhap...

I think what a lot of us are interested in is to take existing MK9 models and modify them for alt costumes and ect.... for example take sub-zero's mk3 skin and add a mask and hood to make it look right.

This is the "official" tool to install and distribute dlc costumes, characters and other mods. If you make diff files of your mods using the included tools and distribute them in the DLC manager format, they will work universally on all versions of the game so it is HIGHLY recommended that...

Well it's not that. We usually don't release character replacements anymore and instead add them as a dlc character. It's just cleaner that way.

I diff and patched the character so it would work on my version. Aside from the glitches you already mentioned it seems to be ok so I'll make it into a full-fledged dlc character and release it this evening.

If mods are properly converted to install with the latest version of DLC manager then they work on ALL versions of the game.

Instead of releasing this as a model swap it needs to be properly converted to work with the latest version of DLC manager with a diff file. Then it will work with all versions of MK9. If you also post the unaltered version of scarlet for the version of the game you are running, I can do that for you.

Please research the current state of MK9 modding before making requests. Other than tag mods we can NOT swap meshes, so you can't magically change a model. If you want Jax's moves then the best that can be done is a texture mod of jax.
