Mortal Kombat: Deception - Online Impressions
Posted On: Sep 30 2004, 03:46 PM

IGN published a new Mortal Kombat: Deception article entitled Mortal Kombat: Deception - Online Impressions. Below is a part of it:

Anyway, after our initial selections were made, it was off to the match we went -- with almost no load times during the transition from the select screen to the arena whatsoever. Even better is that once the mysterious voice said, "fight" we were immediately throwing down as if we were sitting in the same room together. To say that I was blown away with just how smooth and responsive the online portion of the fighting truly is, is an understatement, as Mortal Kombat: Deception is seriously the most lag-free Internet fighting game I've ever played. And over the course of our six different match-ups with various kinds of characters, I never once experienced a single hitch or stutter in the action. I could tell right off the bat that Midway is sporting some serious network code here, and can only begin to wonder just how blown away other players will be when they get to try online for the first time as well.

Mortal Kombat: Devastation News
Posted On: Sep 28 2004, 09:49 PM

The Unofficial Mortal Kombat 3 Movie Page posted the following news:

More news to feast on, Kombatants. Russell Mulcahy, director of MK: Devastation, has said to be signed on for a fourth MK film. Reportedly, Threshold is aiming to completely FORGET Mortal Kombat: Annihilation due to poor attitude surrounding it, and instead sort of have MK: Devastation be bet the sequel to the first MK movie. Not only that, but a fourth one is supposed play off MK:D.

Confused? Heh. Think as it this way: First comes Mortal Kombat (the first movie), Mortal Kombat: Devastation, then Mortal Kombat: Warzone (working title). The existance of a fourth MK movie will probably be up to how well MK3 does.

Don't forget that filming will start late October to early November in Australia and China!

The History Of Mortal Kombat
Posted On: Sep 14 2004, 09:28 AM

TeamXBox has updated with a small article intitles "The History Of Mortal Kombat":

There is no denying the impact that the Mortal Kombat series has had on the videogame industry and culture altogether. From the games, to action figures, to major motion pictures, MK reached cult status almost immediately after it hit arcades back in 1992. Since that time the series has seen over ten different iterations of videogames and promises the best yet with this year’s release of Mortal Kombat: Deception.

To help celebrate over a decade of Mortal Kombat goodness, Midway was kind enough to provide us this excellent look into the history of Mortal Kombat. In these two online exclusive movies, you’ll see the impact of the series from its initial arcade releases in the 90’s and the transition to home consoles in games like Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance and the upcoming Mortal Kombat: Deception.

Part of it are two movies that will show the history of the game. They are the same as the one from MK: DA but with the inclusion of Mortal Kombat: Deception.
