If you were here yesterday you noticed that the site was down. It was so because we had to reset our server. By doing so we fixed a few errors in the scripts and now everything works correctly. Here are the new features:

Master

Mortal Kombat Secrets is now one of the Master sites of Mortal Kombat Alliance Network. Our site is member of the network since August 2002. After we changed the layout and the information, the Alliance Grandmasters decided to promote MK Secrets to Master Site. Here are the words of Total-MK in the promotion topic:

E3 Final Update

Mortal Kombat Secrets Version 3

We are back. Welcome to Version 3 of Mortal Kombat Secrets. We decided to change the look of the site and that is what we got for you now. Version 3 looks really cool and has a lot of new features and stuff. Here you can see a list of the new things:

• Submit News, Links and Polls forms
• New Message Board
• MK: DA section is now finished
• MK: TE section
• We added a bug section for each game
• The Emulation section is finally ready
• Completely new screenshots and pictures for each game and movie

E3 2003 - First Impressions

Mk5.org published their first impressions from Mortal Kombat: Tournament Edition. The Staff of this site had the chance to play the game for a little while. Here are the two most important things from their article.

1. Two of the new secret characters will probably be Sektor and Noob Saibot
2. There will probably be a Weapon Fatalities in the game

Daniel Bernhard Pics

A month ago we inform you about one of the new roles of Daniel Bernhard (Siro in Mortal Kombat Conquest). We inform you about his role in the sequel of "The Matrix" - "The Matrix Reloaded". He plays as one of the agents inside the Matrix. His mission is to stop Neo at all cost. Unfortunately he is not one of the main characters. Here we have a few pictures of him.

Sareena's Storyline

"The Netherealm demon, Sareena, lost her human form in an attack from the fallen Elder God, Shinnok. She was transposed back into her demon form as her essence descended back to the 5th plane of the Netherealm. Sareena remained there until she discovered an abandoned portal that led to Outworld. Once in Outworld, she learned to feed off of the living aura of that realm to regain her human appearance. She no longer needed Quan Chi’s sorcery to sustain her exterior beauty.

While in Outworld, the demon known as Sareena encountered Sub-Zero. Since she had freed his brother from his confines of the Netherealm so many years ago, Sub-Zero offered her asylum within the Lin Kuei. His compassion may be honorable, but befriending a demon of Netherealm is not an action without risk... as Sub-Zero may soon discover."

MK: TE Preview

IGN posted a small article about the sequel of MK: DA - MK: TE. The game will ship somewhere in august 2003. It will be shown at E3 this year. Here is the full text of the preview:

"May 09, 2003 - What was originally going to be called Mortal Kombat: Deadly Revenge is now simply known as Mortal Kombat: Tournament Edition. Midway's internal Game Boy Advance development team has taken what it built for the GBA in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, and fine-tuned it for a sequel of sorts, adding new characters and features in the attempt to make this the ultimate fighter on Nintendo's handheld.
The Game Boy Advance-exclusive sequel will feature an updated roster of fighters, including Cyrax, Drahmin, Hsu Hao, Johnny Cage, Mavado, Raiden, Reptile, Bo Rai Cho and Nitra, as well as characters from the previous game, Scorpion, Shang Tsung and Quanchi. There is also new, original fighters created specifically for the sequel, including Sareena and two secrets. There will also be new arenas such as the Lost Tomb, Wu Shi Academy, Sarna Ruins, Molochs Lair have been added to several of the popular fighting backgrounds from the original Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance.

The sequel will include several new modes of play, including four-player tournaments, tag-team mode (two-on-two), Race to Raiden where players change fighters after each victory to become the first to win as Raiden, an Arcade mode where players wager on linked battles, and a Co-Op Mode where players can link GBA systems and play the tag-team mode. The sequel will be reverse-compatible with Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance so that players with the old version can fight with Scorpion, Shang Tsung and Quanchi against players with the sequel. There will also be a new practice mode, gambling so players can put wagers on the action, and improved player statistics that are tracked to cartridge.

Whew...that's a huge update to an already great fighter. We can't wait to see the game at the Electronic Entertainment Expo next week. Check out the first screenshots right here.

MK3: Domination

New Line Cinema announced the third MK movie as Mortal Kombat 3: Domination. We think, that the digit "3" will probably be removed, because the second movie was announced without "2" in his title.

MK: TE at this year's E3

Midway will show an unfinished version of Mortal Kombat: Tournament Edition at Electronic Entertainment Expo, that begins at 05.14.2003. So keep checking this site for future updates.
