Mortal Kombat VS. DC Universe - Known Facts

• Title Mortal Kombat VS. DC Universe.
• The game is going to be a crossover game: DC and MK.
• New storyline. Writers from DC Comics (Jimmy Palmotti and Justin Gray) were hired to help out and keep things authentic.
• It hasn't been decided whether the storyline of the game will become part of the original Mortal Kombat storyline.
• Will be released in Fall 2008 on PlayStation 3 and XBox 360.
• Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Batman, Superman are confirmed.
• The most famous characters from both worlds are expected to be in the game.
• The game will have Online mode.

• Single Player Story mode will be present. It will be divided in two separate parts. One for the DC characters and one for the MK characters.
• Targeted rating for the game is "T" (for Teen) and brutality and violence are going to be pushed as far as possible for this rating.
• There will be no Stage Fatalities (Death Traps), you will have to beat your opponent to death.
• A completely new fighting mechanics, the multiple fighting styles system is gone and so are the weapons. The new system includes Freefall Kombat and Klose Kombat techniques.
• Darker, more realistic atmosphere.
• The game uses a modified version of the Unreal Engine 3.
• The game will be a fresh start. Nothing will be taken from previous games.
