How you get to choose your reward
depends on what game you play. Novice only allows you access to the
first four icons. Warrior gives you the first seven. The first Master
level gives you ten. Finally, winning the 8-man tournament or completing
the Champion tower gives you access to all twelve icons.
VS Kodes:
On the VS screen (in 2 player mode), you can cycle through the 6
symbols by hitting HP, LP, LK on both sides. Cycle backwards by hitting
UP and the button. The numbers are the number of times you hit the
button.

Stage Select:
Up + [Start] on Sonya
Random Select:

Unlimited Credits:
Press D, D, Up, Up, Right, Right, Left, Left during the story screen. A
sound will confirm correct code entry. After the next match is lost,
"freeplay" will appear in the remaining credits window.
Extra Options:
Press Up + Start on the Kombat Mode selection screen. Options to enable or
disable timer, aggressor, blood, and combos will appear.
Enable BLUE "?"
Menu:
Press RUN, HP, LP during the story screen. Shao Kahn will say
"Outstanding" to confirm correct code entry. Press Up + Start at the
options screen to display a second question mark icon.
Enable both RED and
BLUE "?" Menus:
Quickly press (BL), HK, LK, R, LP, HP, HP, HP, LP, LP during the story
screen. A sound will confirm correct code entry. The red and blue
question mark menus will be accessible. These question marks will open
up some hidden extra options which are outlined below.

Bonus Galaga Game:
Fight 100 two player matches consecutively and a game called Land Of
Rellim will begin.
Bonus Pong game::
Fight 50 two player matches consecutively.
Bonus Space
Invaders Game:
Press Z when an object appears over the moon on the pit stage of a two
player match. The sound of a bell will confirm correct code entry. The
winner of that round will play Invaders From Space.
Fight Khameleon:
Quickly press Down + Start if the word "Toasty" is heard on the Star
Bridge stage. This usually happens after a number of uppercuts are
successfully made. The phrase "Player 1, get ready" will appear followed
by the Living Forest stage with Khameleon.
Sometimes Khameleon falls down before
the match begins and gives clues on how to fight her. Here are all of
them:
1. I AM CALLED KHAMELEON
2. TREES AND SHRUBS ARE PLACES TO MEET
3. YOU CAN NOT DEFEAT ME
4. MORE THEN TWO WILL KEEP ME AWAY
5. ONE IS NOT ENOUGH

Fight as Khameleon:
Press C-Right, C-Up, A, B, C-Down, C-Up, C-Right during the story screen.
The name "Khameleon" will be spoken to confirm correct code entry.
Khameleon's moves, fatalities, combos depend on what color her name is
on her life bar. If her name is blue, she is Kitana; when it is green
she is Jade; and when it is purple she is Mileena.
Fight as Human
Smoke:
Choose Cyber-Ninja Smoke as a character. Hold B + HP + HK + Run + BL
before the "Fight" screen appears or between rounds. Cyber-Ninja Smoke
will explode and change into Human Smoke.
Sometimes Human Smoke falls down before
the match begins and gives clues on how to unlock him. Here are all of
them:

Fight as Motaro:
Select any character to fight in the Jade's Desert, Khan's Tower, or The
Wasteland stage. Hold Away + LK+ HK before the match begins. Motaro will
replace your character after an explosion. You will revert back to your
original character after winning the match. To continue playing as
Motaro after the match, enter the code on round one and round two in a
two player game. Then, player two should choose not to continue. Motaro
will be playable in a one player game until a match is lost.
Sometimes Motaro falls down before the
match begins and gives clues on how to unlock him. Here are all of them:
1. SEARCH FOR ME IN THE WASTELAND
2. BRING ON GORO
3. BRING ON KINTARO
4. I LIKE JADES DESERT
5. BEFORE ONE FIGHTS IS THE TIME
6. KICKS ARE THE KEY

Fight as Shao Kahn:
Select any character to fight in The Rooftop, Pit Three, or Khan's Cave
stage. Hold Down + HP + LP before the match begins. Shao Kahn will
replace your character after an explosion. You will revert back to your
original character after winning the match. To continue playing as Shao
Kahn after the match, enter the code on round one and round two in a two
player game. Then, player two should choose not to continue. Shao Kahn
will be playable in a one player game until a match is lost.

Super endurance
mode:
In a single player game, highlight Kano and press Down + Start on the
character select screen. The screen will shake and Shao Kahn will say
"You'll never win" to confirm correct code entry. Choose your character
and select the hardest path. All matches except the first two and the
last will be endurance matches. The first match will be against
Khameleon, the second match will be against Motaro and the last match
will be against Shao Kahn. Some of the endurance matches have at least
six opponents to fight in the same match.
Shao Kahn's Lost
Treasures:
Select "8-Player Kombat" from the mode select screen and win the
contest. You may select one of the treasures:

Only the first five treasures (up to
Random Prize) are selectable on the Novice Tower. Only the first eleven
(up to Mega Endurance Kombat) are selectable on the Warrior Tower. Only
the treasures up to and including Friendship Demo 1 are
selectable on the Master Tower or the 8 Player Kombat mode. Only
the treasures up to and including Invaders From Space are selectable on
the Champion Tower. All treasures are selectable on the Champion Tower
with Super Endurance Path
mode enabled.
Exploding
Babalities:
Perform a babality move. Hold HP + LP + HK + LK when the screen turns
black and your opponent turns into a baby. Continue to hold the buttons
as the baby turns back into an adult and explodes.
Hidden fatality
sounds::
Hold LP on both controllers to hear Shao Kahn say "Crispy" during the
Scorpion's Lair fatality. Hold BL on both controllers to hear Dan Forden
say "Crispy" during the same fatality. Hold Down during the Deadpool
fatality to hear a gurgling sound.
Easy Ultimate
Kombat Code:
To enter an Ultimate Kombat Kode at any time, simply rotate the control
pad or analog control stick a couple of times clockwise at the Story
screen or during a demo. It will go to to the Kombat Kode screen as if
you had just beat the game. There is only one known Ultimate Kombat Kode
for the game:
113-840 - Unlocks both Human Smoke and
Khameleon
VS Codes:
On the VS screen (in 2 player mode), you can cycle through the 6 symbols
by hitting Low Punch, Block, and Low Kick on both sides. Cycle backwards
by hitting UP and the button. The numbers are the number of times you

Secret Menu
To activate the "?" box on the Options menu, press Up, C, D, B. This
extra option will enable one-button fatalities, instant
aggressor, and low damage. If you've enabled One-Button Fatalities,
press one of the buttons below after you've defeated your opponent:
A - Brutality
B - Fatality
C - Babality
D - Friendship
Play as Ermac
On the Player Selection screen, press B, C, B, B, D. The screen will
shake if you did it correctly.
