Chapter 9 of the Mortal Kombat X comic book has just been released and it is amazing. This chapter sees the continuation of several story lines that were introduces in the first chapters of the series, including the kidnapping of Cassie Cage and Jacqui Briggs, Scorpion's search for Raiden and Sub-Zero's and Kano's battle from the very first chapter.

ComicVine has published an exclusive preview of digital chapter 9 several days ago. In this chapter, Johnny Cage will make his first appearance and will be referenced as Raiden's Champion. This is probably due to the events in Mortal Kombat 9 (2011) or may be due to the events during the Netherrealm war:
Sonya's back--and she wants her daughter! Meanwhile, Kano recounts his last encounter with Sub-Zero.
In addition to this a description about the upcoming chapter ten and a cover art is now available:
It's Scorpion vs. Raiden! Plus, learn the tragic backstory of one of the most deadly men on the planet in SCORPION: SEKRET ORIGIN!

Here is a summary of Mortal Kombat X Kombat Kast 4. This live stream features the very first Brutality from the game:

- Brutality confirmed as finishing move in Mortal Kombat X
- Cassie Cage's Variations were shown: Hollywood, SpecOps, Brawler.
- Over a hundred Brutalities are in the game.
- Shown Brutalities: Kano, Kung Lao, Kotal Kahn, Sub-Zero, Ferra/Torr, Reptile, D'Vorah, Raiden, Raiden, Quan Chi, Scorpion, Ermac, Cassie Cage
- There is no Bonus or extra Damage for doing a Brutality.
- Kombat Pack: will include 4 still in development DLC characters with additional skins.
- Factions can be changed at any time during the game, but you will lose everything you have done for that faction.
- A lot of characters will be revealed very soon.

Netherrealm Studios has just announced the date for its fourth Mortal Kombat X live stream, known as Kombat Kast. The stream will be online this Thursday (February 26th, 3PM CST) on TWITCH and according to Netherrealm Studios it's going to be BRUTAL:
Most fans are expecting the first Brutality finishing move to be shown during the stream.
