Today, Warner Bros. and NetherRealm Studios announced tattooed sorcerer Quan Chi as the latest character to be confirmed for the expanding roster of Mortal Kombat X.



Narrated by Shaun Himmerick, executive producer at NetherRealm Studios, the new video showcases Quan Chi's return in Mortal Kombat X, as he utilizes powerful magic and expert cunning to destroy all who stand in his way. Witness him casting spells on opponents with his Sorcerer variation, open dark portals with the Warlock variation and conjure a beast from the NetherRealm to fight by his side with his Summoner variation.

Quan Chi joins the list of Mortal Kombat X fighters revealed to date: Fan favorites Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Kano and Raiden; newcomers Cassie Cage, D'Vorah, Ferra/Torr, and Kotal Kahn; as well as Goro, who is available as a retail channel-wide pre-order character.

Mortal Kombat X: Goro Lives as DLC + Release Data Revealed

Netherrealm Studios announced that Mortal Kombat X will be released on April 14th, 2015. According to Amazon and other online stores all five versions of the game will be available on the same day.

With the release date, a very special pre-order bonus was also announced. If you pre-order the game, you will have the chance to play as the legendary Goro. Yes, the four armed 2000 year old half human, half dragon Shakon prince returns as a playable DLC character in Mortal Kombat X. Take a look at the announcement render:

The gaming division of the polish website Gram.pl seems to have leaked the additional content that will be part of the kollector's edition of Mortal Kombat X:

Of course there is still no official confirmation that there will even be such an edition of the game, so the information might be inaccurate. There also might be location differences depending on whether you live in Europe or in the US.
