Megan Fox Expresses Interest In Portraying Kitana
by Roy Arkon on May 27, 2016 :: 0 Comments

In a recent interview, star of the TMNT movies Megan Fox was asked which villain she would like to play. She struggles to find an answer and then she grasps onto Mortal Kombat's Kitana.

Speaking of portraying MK characters in movies, what's the state of a new MK film that is supposedly in the works for some time now? Well, apparently James Wan (Fast and Furious 7) is calling it simply "Mortal Kombat" and..." The previous word on the project is that it is a complete reboot and won't include any of the events of the previous films. In fact, it is being called a departure from the mythology. The film is being written by David Callaham and Oren Uziel."

Ed Boon Asks What Should Be "Next"?
by Roy Arkon on May 13, 2016 :: 0 Comments

Ed Boon has tweeted several polls over the last few weeks asking the fans different questions. The newest one was about the next project Netherrealm Studios should start:

- Kombat Pack 3
- a sequel to Mortal Kombat X (basically MK11)
- a Shaolin Monks sequel

There is no mention of Injustice 2, though this could be a classic troll move to trick the fans into believing that such game won't be announced. Considering that E3 is on the horizon, one could assume that NRS and/or WB will announce their next project there.

Prince Rogers Nelson has passed away
by Roy Arkon on Apr 28, 2016 :: 0 Comments

Last week, for those of you who don't know, on April 21, 2016, Prince Rogers Nelson, also known as the Prince, has passed away at the age of 57.

Ed Boon, co-creator of Mortal Kombat, was a huge fan of the Prince, and in homage to the famous singer, he created an MK ninja character after his song Purple Rain, giving him the color purple as the his palette color of choice, and giving him the name Rain, thus Rain was born. And later it was reveled that Rain was the Prince of the realm of Edenia, who tries to re-achieve the glory days of royalty and leadership.

We at MKSecrets.net would like to send our condolences to the Nelson's family, friends and peers on this said occasion.
