Kintaro's Teleport Stomp

Post by SynjoDeonecros »

I'm not sure if I'm imagining things or not, but on at least three different playthroughs for Kintaro on Youtube, I've seen the player use what looks like a variation of Kintaro's old teleport stomp. It definitely does damage, and it looks similar to the KAK's stomp move. Can someone verify if this is true or not?

Can you link one of those playthroughs. I checked just to make sure, there is no such move in the play list.

Right there, at 14:41. The opponent is on the ground when it's done, but I've never seen any other characters do that when the opponent is down.

Speaking of, the computer players seem to be able to drop to a "flat on their back" position at will, but I've never seen any LP players use that trick, and I've not seen any strategy guides that mention this. Is it something that only the computer can do, or can the player do it, too (for the record, the opponent uses this trick right before the user player uses the stomp move).

This somehow seems like a modified version of Mortal Kombat Armageddon. The CPU does not fall like this. I also tried the stomp as described in one of the comments, it does not work.

Huh, very odd. Maybe contact the creator of the playthrough and find out if it is a modified version? Because this seems like a very odd thing to modify into the game, kinda random, too.

I saw the comments on Facebook about it happening only in the Wii version, and the creator of the video confirmed he was using the Wii version of the game. So that's one mystery solved. Thanks for the help.

Yes, this works just fine in the Wii version. This version has a new exclusive lay down move every character can perform by pressing Forward + Block. But that enables the stomp counter, which is Up + Throw.
I've just checked it. It works

These moves are NOT in either the PS2 or Xbox versions of MK Armageddon.

Cheers
