Chapter 2 - “The Champion Comes Forth”

--Palace of the Dragon King--
“Thanks to you Shujinko I am all powerful. As long as I have the Komidogu I will rule Outworld with an iron fist,” claims Onaga. Shujinko stands in position awaiting the Dragon King’s assault. This fighting stance he learned to be like his hero Kung Lao. Onaga laughs. Onaga yells, “Your fight styles are no match for my strength!” Finally ending there words to each other Onaga leaps forward thrusting his right fist at the supposed champion of the gods. Shujinko jumps back and dodges the mighty fist of his enemy, but just the force of his power pushes the warrior further back. “Ahh,” yells Shujinko as he is pushed back. “The power is unbelievable!” Using his speed Onaga rushes forward swinging endlessly with his fists at the one he used as a pawn. “Stay still! You are only delaying your death.” “You may have grown in power, but you forget so have I,” states Shujinko. “This I learned from Raiden!” Shujinko performs Raiden’s torpedo move, but it fails. “It did not work,” says Shujinko in shock. “I learned this from Sub-Zero, this from Scorpion, I got this from Kobra, Li Mei and Sindel, and this I got from Liu Kang.” Shujinko tries everything, but nothing happens. Unsure of what to do next Shujinko says, “If I don’t win all is lost.” “You might as well consider this a loss. Let me show my true power,” says Onaga. Onaga reveals the single Komidogu to Shujinko which he formed by combining all the others together. Onaga yells, “Die!” The Dragon King unleashes an enormous energy blast at his opponent. Shujinko can only watch as his end comes near. “Dragon King,” yells an unknown voice. Onaga asks, “Who dares interfere with my battle?” “It is I the true Champion of the Gods. Call me Scorpion,” says the yellow ninja from a distance.

--The Dungeon--
Mean while, the ORANGE ninja Ermac unlocks the dungeon door and walks in. “Stryker, your soul is set free,” says Ermac. The ninja uses his power to send Kurtis Stryker’s soul to the heavens. As he moves up to his afterlife Stryker says, “But I don’t want to be set free to the heavens I want to live.” “Sorry, but you were doomed to die when you joined Mortal Kombat.” Kurtis Stryker’s soul is sent off and Ermac continues to walk through the dungeon. He comes upon the prisoners who happen to be Kung Lao, Sonya Blade, Johnny Cage, Major Jax Briggs, and Kitana. Their eyes glow green indicating that they are under mind control. “The Dragon King is controlling you. I must set you free of his power,” says Ermac. As he begins to move forward the prisoners begin to go after Ermac. “Do not fight me. You are under his control,” says Ermac. It begins to look bad, but at that second the spirit of Liu Kang appears. Liu Kang says, “Stay back my friends!” Liu Kang gets their attention and with no time to lose Liu Kang and Ermac begin to free the prisoners.
